There is a woman in our church who is a wonderful teacher of God's word. She is one of the few women I have know with such a deep love for the Lord. It's not one of those things where she gushes with energy and passion about her walk with God, but rather it is this peace and wisdom that comes from a steady, long-standing relationship with the Lord.
One day as we were talking, she shared with me about how she has been learning so much from our study of James on Tuesday mornings that she has found herself spending many hours at a time pouring over the passage. Her heart was so earnest as she continued to share that she is struggling with better time management because she spends so much time studying God's word some days tht her husband needs to pull her away so that she can eat and so they can keep previous engagements with friends and church. What an amazing thing to hear! Granted, she is older and her kids are grown and gone so naturally she has entire days to herself - something that we moms don't get the blessing of very often. Regardless, I was just so touched to hear that! She spends too much time with God that she neglects her other duties...something rare indeed.
In other news. The 3 of us are taking an impromptu trip to Modesto tomorrow morning. My aunt from Hawaii is in town along with her husband and daughters. She's leaving on March 1st and I haven't seen her in many, many years. So, we're leaving after Aaron speaks at his men's breakfast (around 8am) and we'll come back Sunday evening. Short and sweet.
