Yesterday Kayla turned 2! What a precious little girl she is and so full of life and curiosity! While she still doesn't talk very much, you can always see her thinking and problem solving. Even in how she teases, you know she's got a lot going on in her pretty little head! I remember when she was born thinking how TINY her 5lb 15oz body was. She was seriously like a little doll and she had the best temperament. She really would go days without crying and only got fussy when she was hungry. She always (and still does) sleep with no problem. As a baby, I could lay Kayla down in the cradle or her crib and she would either lay there for a while and look around or just go right to sleep.
Now here she is at 2 years old, playing with her tea set, pushing around her dolls and getting into all sorts of mischief! Because we all came down with sudden colds, yesterday was more laid back. We went to Zoomars petting zoo in San Juan Capistrano late morning for Kayla's special treat. She LOVES animals and this was the perfect place for her to pet and feed them. We stayed about an hour and pet bunnies, guinea pigs, goats, llamas, sheep, horses and even a cow! She was also able to take a horse ride and a little train ride that they had. Afterward, we stopped at the mall for lunch. We were going to play in the play area, which is another thing Kayla loves to do, but she was so tired that we ended up just coming home and taking naps.
Before dinner, we hid a bunch of little gifts around like we did with Bubba and since she is younger, we prompted her on a gift treasure hunt rather than spread them out throughout the day. It was such a great day being able to focus on Kalya and make everything about her and for her!
Before the kids went to bed, we took down all the decorations, balloons and streamers. They had a blast popping all the balloons with scissors (yes, I know....) After a week of it, the Voss family is all partied out! HaHaHa.
In other news, Brayden is much better. After a bunch of steam treatments and medicine...the croup settled into a cold within 24 hours. We have all caught colds and are all stuffed up in the head...but oh well, colds are not a big deal and we'll be better soon!

I liked reading all your birthday ideas, Alicia! I was worried because our two kiddos will have birthdays about a week apart(in March, but this sounds so fun! Happy belated birthdays to Kayla and Kristiaan!
