Dining Experiences.

Tonight we went out to dinner at Red Robin. As far as eating out goes, we are one of those families that do it fairly often. A lot of people with young kids tend to try to avoid those situations, but our kids have always done surprisingly well and are able to be occupied in a highchair for an hour at least...given there is plenty of fries or bread! HaHa!

It was so pleasant tonight especially because Kayla has crossed that age from total baby to almost little person. It was soooo cute to just watch her contentedly play with her balloon, munch on chicken, fries and veggies...and whenever Red Robin came around in costume, she just pointed and wanted him to stay and be her friend!

Baby food is almost obsolete at our house now - yeah! Kayla has learned to eat most table food, provided it is soft enough. Other than the occasional yogurt or applesauce, it's great to just cut up a waffle or make scrambled eggs for breakfast. Bread, fruit and veggies are great for other meals - and the meat thing hasn't been too big of a challenge to chew.

I pretty much only give Cosette food she can feed herself now, too. It's so nice not to have to sit there and feed her every bite!
